The installation is near production level. We still need to have a lot to do to get things working like they used to however we’re currently restoring the database. That should indicate things are nearly there.
The good news with 64bit OSes is that we can finally push past through the 2GB per process limit, allowing us to finally use the 4GB of RAM on the server.

Things are looking better. Special thanks to all those who have contacted me and have helped me out in the process of this installation. We’re just setting up the vitals needed for a web server (eg PHP, MySQL, lighttpd) so it shouldn’t be long until you can get your daily fix of Warez-BB.org again =)
ETA 2 hours.

With the help of Enigma, Groentjuh, M and a lot of reading we’ve solved our lib and lib64 issues. Installation of DA has restarted again so it should not be long until we’re up and running again. ETA 4 hours?

Looks like I’ll be awake for more than 24 hours. We will reformat again because of a libraries screw up. If you have more information about how to deal with the lib and lib64 folder please contact me at tempwbbhelp@gmail.com
Thanks.

Just a reminder that no data will be lost during this maintenance. We have a SQL back up of the database and the physical database files on our server ready to be deployed once everything is in place.

We’ve commenced DirectAdmin installation. Vital software will be installed automatically saving a lot of time

We have successfully installed the new harddrives and Centos 5 64bit. We’re currently just upgrading it to Centos 5.2 via yum. DirectAdmin installation will come shortly and after that we will be setting up lighttpd and PHP in place of what DA installs.
While our main server is down, the DNS has been kept up to date for everyone as our third NS server is in France on img5.

The installation is going forth. The main DB server now has two new drives with our old drives attached to a secondary server for restoration purposes.

hmm… Seems like we may have to wait 24 hours for the reinstall to proceed because Directadmin requires a change in the license to 64bit. If this is so we will turn on the forum once more and run the site for another 24 hours.

We’re in the process of discuss and planning a complete reinstall of the server at the moment with the datacenter. However the plan is to take the main DB server off line, replace the harddrives and do a complete reinstall.
We’re planning to install Centos 5.2 64bit into there instead of Centos 4 32bit which we have now. 64bit could pose a challenege as I have hardly worked with 64bit servers before. However, if you have experience with 64bit servers please contact us on tempwbbhelp@gmail.com.
Thanks.
