We were down because of a network problem with our main switch. The switch, along with other clients went down for a number of hours. We’re back now on a backup switch. We’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

Our site is now back up. The team is closely monitoring the servers to make sure that nothing unexpected occurs. In the mean time, the team has also identified a few points of improvement with the current server configuration and we will be making those updates within the next few days. These updates shouldn’t mean downtime, but that is not to say, we won’t have additional maintenance downtime.
You would have noticed our site is now substantially faster as a result of the maintenance we performed – the downtime paid off.
We have just finished upgrading the firmware on our RAID controller and, boy, has performance increased! We’re still working on the server, we’re using this time to make sure we do the appropriate upgrades, so that we don’t have to take the site down again for further upgrades like this.

We’re currently down due to problems with one of our servers. Our team is currently working on it and our datacenter has been contacted.
No ETA of uptime because we’re waiting for DC to reply.
Edit: Our site is back up.
We’re aware of the downtime occurring right now and we’re working on a fix.
Edit: It’ll be up and running once your DNS is updated.
As many of you may know, load balancing is an important concept for sites as big as ours. Today, one of our load balancing servers went off line and although the site kept running, it ran slower than usual.
We’ve now taken steps to make sure that future scenarios of this specific downtime don’t happen again. This and amongst the general move to making sure every downtime doesn’t occur again, we should have a better site with higher uptime in the long run.
We’re aware of a downtime that occurred a few hours ago and are just in the final phase of making sure such a downtime scenario doesn’t happen again.
Edit: The forum is back up.
For the past hour the site has had issues bouncing back up, we’re looking into the matter and will resolve it shortly.
Edit: There appear to be network issues at the datacenter – we’ve contacted them already.
Edit 2: We’re still working on the issue.
Edit 3: Our site is back up.
